Ava Merson-O'Brien

Ava Merson-O'Brien (born 10th August 2001) is an English born actress, who has worked extensively through Theatre, Television, Film and Commercials. She has also been part of London fashion week with Topshop and played the role of Miriam in 'Miriam and Youssef' a BBC radio drama for world service.

Theatre[edit]

Ava's professional West End debut was playing a Munchkin in the Wizard Of Oz the Southbank Theatre [1] Ava also performed at the Savoy Theatre when she appeared in Carousel (musical)After this, Ava played the role of Cosette[2] and Eponinee in the classic musical Les Misérables (musical)[3] Ava has performed in Andrew Lloyd Webber[4] Wizard of oz[5] at the London Palladium[6] starring Michael Crawford[7] and Over the Rainbow (2010 TV series)[8] winner Danielle Hope The show was also choreographed by Arlene Phillips She then went on to play the iconic role of Amanda Thripp in Matilda the Musical with the Royal Shakespeare Company music by Tim Minchin starring Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical winner Bertie Carvel Ava then took part in A Mad West End Christmas charity concert.[9] Ava then moved on to play the role of Brigitta in The Sound of Music at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre[10]Ava then spent some time on tour for Bill Kenwright production of sound of music [11] Choreographed by Bill Deamer.

Ava played the role of the Red Queen (Resident Evil) starring Milla Jovovich Michelle Rodriguez Eric Mabius Colin Salmon and James Purefoy

Recently Ava played the role of Alice in an upcoming Movie called In The Limelight, which will be released some time next year.

Ava has also just finished filming for another project, where she plays Jan Meek in Polar Maidens

Television[edit]

Ava played the role of Harriet Summers[12] [13] in the television adaptation of Hetty Feather (TV series) written by Jacqueline Wilson on BBC. She starred in this from 2014 to 2016. Along with this she also appeared on CBBC HQ.

Ava also has taken part in Live at the London Palladium, when she performed with Robbie Williams[14]
