Avid4 Adventure

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Avid4 Adventure (Avid4) is a summer camp with locations in Colorado, California, Minnesota, Oregon and Washington that was founded in Colorado by David Secunda in 2003.

Avid4 Adventure was created to get kids outdoors and also to teach environmental conservation skills. According to the founder, he saw a need not just to get kids outside, but to set them on a trajectory of lifelong outdoor adventure and stewardship because of issues such as declining youth participation in sports, decreasing physical education budgets in schools and increasing screen time. Their camps aim to help campers develop skills outdoors in a wide range of adventure sports, such as mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing and paddling. They aim to build kids’ skills, confidence, grit and determination.

Avid4 Adventure provides a variety of day adventure, overnight expedition, and overnight resident camps. In Summer of 2020, Avid4 offered a selection of virtual camps due to COVID-19.
