Avraham ben Isaac Ashkenazi was a Jewish scholar, who lived in Safed in the 16th century. He was the first printer of books in the Land of Israel (Palestine), as business partner of Eliezer ben Isaac Ashkenazi of Prague, who brought the printing press with him from Europe.[1][2][3][4]
