Awami Raaj Tahreek or Awami Raaj Tahreek (Pakistan) (ART (Pakistan)) is a newly established political party in Pakistan by Pakistani youth. The formation of this new political party was an ideal of youth of Pakistan. These youth dreamed for the change in current Status quo of Politics of Pakistan

Formation[edit]

Awami Raaj Tahreek (Pakistan) was formed on August 2016 by the youths of Pakistan in the Indus Social Forum office at Mosmiat chowk, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi

History[edit]

Awami Raaj Tahreek has been formed from the Indus Social Forum, which has large history of political and social movements in the Sindh for the education, low seating ratio for the indigenous Sindhis in the universities of Karachi especially University of Karachi , Copy culture in the Secondary and Higher secondary examinations.

Ideology[edit]

Ideology Awami Raaj Tahreek (ART Pakistan) is based on social democratic.

The political manifesto of Awami Raaj Tahreek is based on Educational reforms, corruption free society, Health, Nutrition, Job opportunities, Youth and Women empowerment,

Leadership[edit]

The Awami Raaj Tahreek has inherited its leadership from the Indus Social Forum, Syed Khalil Ahmed Shah is the Central Chief organizer, other central organizers are Umair Chandio, Mohsin Khaskheli, Shoaib Soomro, Asad Ali Jogi, Sarang Pirzado, Irfan Brohi, Erum Dars, Abid Khuwaja, and there are also some new youth from other small social movements which have been merged into ART Pakistan. And some youth for example like Hafeez Nizamani, who are new political youth without before being a member of any political party.

Political movements[edit]

The present political party has a legacy of great struggle for the restoration of educational reforms in the Sindh especially in the Karachi university. Awami Raaj Tahreek has inherited the youth leadership from its Indus Social Forum, which has large history of political and social movements in the Sindh for the education, low seating ratio for the indigenous Sindhis in the universities of Karachi especially University of Karachi,[1] Copy culture in the Secondary and Higher secondary examinations. The leadership of Indus Social forum and Awami Raaj Tahreek slammed admission policy of KU.[2] The controversial KSP (K= Karachi, S= Sindh, P=Pakistan) category or KSP formula for the admissions in the Karachi University, in which there were only 30 seats for the remaining districts of Sindh, however there were large number of seats for other parts of Pakistan even the Gilgit Baltistan student had more seats than Sindhi students in the KU.[3][4][5][6]

Awami Raaj Tahreek has also arranged protest rallies, Workshops, Seminars regarding educational Awareness.A protest rally was organized from Hyder chowk to Press club Hyderabad for the restoration of closed Schools in Sindh and copy culture in the examinations.[7][8]

Social Movements[edit]

Awami Raaj Tahreek celebrated Sindhi cultural day (Ekta Day) in December 2015, before this event has been celebrated on the platform of Indus Social Forum. The Mach Kachahri (a cultural meeting of intellectuals) was arranged in January 2016 in Karachi on Ekta Day.
