Awele Aina (born Eniola Adeola Efunkoya) is a make-up artist and skin-care expert[1][2] who has worked on international and Nigerian music videos, editorial spreads, movies, magazines, campaigns, fashion shows and TV commercials including Clarence Peters, MattMax, Burna boy, Allure Magazine by Vanguard, Aje Films, Sesan Ogunro, Ovation Magazine, and Elise Claire Cosmetics.[3][4][5]

Early Life and Career[edit]

Awele Aina is a native of Ijebu ode, Ogun state, but was born in Lagos Nigeria. After her University education, Awele attended a make-up training school where she gained her first experience on the job. As a nephew to DJ Jimmy Jatt, Awele Aina leveraged on the network of her uncle to gain entrance and credibility in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Early in her career, Awele had to work on Nancy Isime, a Nigerian actress, model and media personality, on a music video set as a vixen

Artistry[edit]

Aina's works on makeup and cosmetology has been published on several magazines including Allure magazine by Vanguard, Genevieve magazine, Bella Naija, and Dynamic Magazine. Aina was also listed as one of the top makeup artist on set for music videos in Nigeria in 2019.[7] Elise Claire Cosmetics USA named Awele as their Nigerian ambassador in 2019.[8] [9]
