Muhammad Ayaz (Memon Motiwala)[1] is a businessman cum politician who came to fame through his viral videos[2] and images asking for votes[3] in Pakistan's general elections 2018. He is the Chairman of Karachi Tajir Alliance Association.
He stood for the NA-243 seat for the general elections. His stunt was widely noticed across the globe as it highlighted the plight of everyday Karachities.[4]
His election symbol was water tap.[5] Karachi has a stressing sewage issue and almost every politician has overlooked this issue throughout recent decades. This autonomous acknowledged the sewage issue[6] and that was the reason for his limelight. Photographs of the independent candidate wearing a shalwar kameez and sitting in a pool of water having tea and taking a nap went viral, with people calling him a “Star Plus drama” on Facebook.[7]
He was not able to win NA seat.[8]
