Ayesha Asantewaa
Ayesha Asantewaa (born Harlesden, London, 1988) is a British disc jockey and television presenter for BBC 1Xtra and CBBC.
Asantewaa attended Copland Community School where she completed a radio course called Blaze Radio at Preston Manor High School.[citation needed] At the age of 15, she gained work experience at BBC 1Xtra and subsequently entered the Xtra Talent competition at 16 to become a DJ on the same station.[1] In September 2004 she was offered a month on the Xtra Talent slot on Sundays from 3–6 am. In 2005 she was given her own slot on Saturday mornings from 6–9 am.
Asantewaa was a co-host with Sam and Mark on the CBBC Show Level Up and Do Something Different.[citation needed] She was a presenter on CBeebies radio (also on BBC7), which broadcast in March 2007.[citation needed]
Asantewaa owns Purple Turtle Beads, a handmade jewelry business.[2][3]
