Ayma Imra

Ayma Imra (3 BC–14 AD) was an Anatolian princess who is widely regarded in rural Turkish and Somali folklore as the lover of King Jama. She met her demise when the heartbroken king was forced to stab an enchanted Ayma, thus killing her. Many details of this story are unknown; however, many speculate that due to this lovers’ curse, the king was forced to roam the earth eternally carrying his grief.
