Ayo
Ayo is a contemporary artist working in the Netherlands. She was born in Kampala, Uganda. Her work consists of sculpture, films, performance, writing and drawings. Ayo has a Master of Fine Art degree from the Piet Zwart Institute/Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam1. In 2021, she was awarded the Mondriaan Fund Stipend for Emerging Artists. Ayo's work has been shown at De Kerk, Museum Arnhem in Arnhem (NL)2, International Short Film Festival Oberhaussen (GR), European Media Art Festival (GR) and Goethe Institute Bangkok (TH) among others34.
