Ayogu Kingsley is a Nigerian born visual artist best known for his hyper-realistic drawings.
Early Life And Career
Ayogu Kingsley Ifeanyichukwu, born September 23 1994, hails from Aji Igboeze North L.G.A. Enugu State, Nigeria. He is a Mastermind NCE holder in Painting and Graphics from Enugu State College of Education (Technical) Enugu Nigeria.
His paintings adorn with blessings from Almighty God, which appeal and give peace to the world thereby bringing people from different backgrounds together for the sake of Love and Unity. Furthermore, his paintings—which seek to express themes of daily experience of human life and nature—have been defined as poetry that speaks to create a pulsating appeal to the conscience of people. Stephanie Coker in February gifted her husband a painting by Kingsley amid infidelity scandals[1]
Kingsley, in March 2017, presented one of his paintings to Ooni of Ife at an event hosted by Britafrique in the United Kingdom[2]
Style Of Art
Kingsley achieves this intensity through the stunning lens-like detail applied to his work. Every blemish, scar, or intricate feature he adds to his paintings help express the truth in his work. Majority of his work depicts his subjects in uncomfortable situations—situations with a wide spectrum of displayed emotion through tears, despair, and affinity. The viewer of his pieces is compelled to feel connected to the paintings, searching for ways to console or free the subject from distress. His paintings endorse unity and human empathy, bridging a relationship between his work and his viewers. Buzzfeed lists Kingsley as one of the top 50 hyperrealists.[3]
