Ayrton Houk
Ayrton Houk grew up in McCordsville, Indiana.[1] He began karting at a young age before progressing into open-wheel racing. He is a student at Purdue University’s Mitch Daniels School of Business, studying finance while competing in motorsports.[2]
Racing career
United States Speed Association Kenyon Midget Series
In 2021, Houk competed in the USSA Kenyon Midget Series and won the championship.[3]
F1600 Championship Series
In 2022, Houk competed in the F1600 Championship Series, finishing second overall with multiple race victories and podium finishes.[4]
In 2023, Houk again competed in the F1600 Championship Series, finishing second overall with multiple race victories and podium finishes.[5]
His performance earned him the Team USA Scholarship, allowing him to represent the United States in international competition.[6]
Team USA Scholarship
Houk was selected as one of two recipients of the 2023 Team USA Scholarship, a program that has supported future professional drivers including Jimmy Vasser, Bryan Herta, and Josef Newgarden. He represented the U.S. in events such as the Formula Ford Festival in England.[7]
USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire
Houk made his debut in the USF2000 Championship in 2024 with DC Autosport. He recorded a season-best finish of fourth place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course and qualified on the front row at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. He ended the season 11th in points and received the USF2000 Spirit Award and Move of the Year Award.[8][9]
In 2025, Houk returned with Benchmark Autosport. He achieved his first pole position at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, setting a track record, and continued as a front-running contender in the championship.[10][1]
