Azem Marani

Azem Marani (Serbian: Азем Морани) was an Albanian revolutionary, a member of the Balli Kombëtar and one of its leaders in Western Macedonia.
Biography[edit]
He was born in 1923 in the village of Morani near Skopje. He worked as a teacher at the "Liria" elementary school in Skopje. He became a commander of a Balli Kombëtar squad, which continued its activities even after the establishment of communist rule in 1944–1945. Morani was among the leaders of the National Democratic Albanian Organization and in June 1946 he was elected to its Central Committee. He was captured in 1946, sentenced to death, and executed in Skopje in 1947.[1][2]
