History
The Azrieli Foundation was established in 1989 by David J. Azrieli, and now funds institutions and operates programs in Israel and Canada. Yeshiva University was the first recipient of a grant in 1989.[1]
In 2019, the Azrieli Foundation, in partnership with the Claims Conference, commissioned Schoen Consulting to carry out a Holocaust Knowledge and Awareness Survey in Canada. [2]
Mission
The mission of the Azrieli philanthropy is "to improve the lives of present and future generations through Education, Research, Healthcare and the Arts mainly in Canada and Israel."[3]
