The company manufactures products out of Northeast Ohio in Valley View and Medina.[2] Varying with the product, one line can produce 50,000 to 60,000 cans in one shift.[2] B'laster currently has about 60 employees in its corporate office.[5] Its current CEO and President is Randy Pindor.[5]

Along with the U.S., B'laster products are also available in Mexico and Canada.[6]

History[edit]

B'laster was founded in 1957 in Cleveland, OH. [2] Created by William K. Westley in his bathtub, Westley was working on a mixture that would be able to break through corrosion at a phosphate mine in Florida.[2] PB B'laster was formed as a penetrant that broke through rust and corrosion in order to free nuts and bolts[2]. About twenty years later, Bernie Porter bought the company from Westley[2]. Porter's son, Tom, took over B'laster Corp as chairman in 1991.[2] In 1997, B'laster moved its headquarters to Valley View, Ohio.[2]

In 2015, the company went through a rebrand to streamline its products and grow brand recognition[7]

B'laster looked to expand and seeked advise from Signet Capital Advisors[8]. In 2020, the company expanded again, acquiring Texas-based AC Avalanche under the current president and CEO, Randy Pindor.[1] After the acquistion of AC Avalanche, the company formed B'laster Holdings[9]. Along with AC-Avalance, the compay also aquired the Workshop Hero brand which was the consumer division of Armor Protective Packaging[10]. About a year later in 2021, Pindor oversaw another acquisition this time of Michigan-based Casite.[1] To support these acquisitions, the company added employees to its HQ in Valley View, Ohio[11]

B'laster expanded again in May of 2022. B'laster acquired the BBI brands from RSC Brands[3] [4]. The BBI product lines include GUNK cleaners & degreasers, Liquid Wrench lubricants & penetrants, and Titeseal tire sealants & protectants[3][4][11][12][13].
