The B-Segment Modular Architecture (BMA) is the second global mid-size automobile platform jointly developed by Volvo and Geely after Compact Modular Architecture platform (CMA).[1] This development began in 2014, it was developed with the aim of targeting young users.[2] On November 2018, the first car using the BMA platform was debuted with Geely Binyue.[3]
The platform can accommodate cars with wheelbases of 2,550 mm to 2,700mm, and widths of 1,500 mm to 1,600 mm. Geely also claims class-leading space utilization for models built on the BMA platform.[1]
