Location
The B2163 is a road in Maidstone, Kent, connecting Teston to Leeds, Kent, passing through; West Farleigh, Coxheath, Boughton Monchelsea, Chart Sutton, Five Wents, Langley Heath and Leeds. The road follows near the boarder of Maidstone.
Recent Congestion
Due to the location of the B2163 it is often used as a bypass for drivers wanting to avoid the traffic of Maidstone town center. Traffic is know to get especially bad on the B2163 (Heath Road) near Linton crossroads where a set of lights connecting the roman road, A229 to the B2163 (Heath Road) can be found. This traffic has increased in the last since 2010 creating slow moving traffic exiting the village of Coxheath.
Landmarks
Along the B2163 you can find multiple land marks. Towards the village of Teston you can find Teston Bridge, a 14th or 15th century grade 1 listed arch rag-stone bridge crossing the River Midway. Buffering Linton Crossing you will find Linton Park, a grade 1 listed country home with many public paths connecting the mansion to the near by deer park, church and pub (The Bull inn) where you can get amazing views across the weald of kent. In Leeds you will find Leeds Castle, a castle built in 1119 home to King Edward I, Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon.
