BHG Group AB
BHG Group is a Swedish listed e-commerce company with operations within the home improvement space; meaning home furnishings, gardening products and do-it-yourself. The group includes over 85 online destinations as well as more than 70 showrooms, among them brands such as Bygghemma, Taloon, Trademax, Furniturebox and LampGallerian.[1] BHG Group operates mainly in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway, but also has presence in large parts of Eastern and Central Europe. The group had a turnover of 6.2 billion SEK in 2019.[2][3] BHG Group is headquartered in Malmö, Sweden.[4]
History
In 2004 Taloon was founded in Riihimäki, Finland. In 2006 Bygghemma.se was founded in Oskarshamn, Sweden. 2008 Trademax was founded in Helsingborg, Sweden. BHG Group was founded in 2012, from the acquisition of these three companies. After the opening of new headquarters in Malmö, Sweden 2012, the company started to grow rapidly through a combination of strong organic growth and acquisitions. The new operations were included in a new company with the name Bygghemma Group. 2020 the name was changed to BHG Group, to easier differentiate the group from Bygghemma.se, who today is only one of the groups many brands.[5][6][7]
Owner
The company share is traded on Nasdaq Stockholm since March 2018 under the ticker ‘BHG’.[8] The biggest shareholder as of 31 October 2020 is investment company EQT with 19.96% of the share capital.
