BNS Durdondo is a Type 021 Missile Boat of Bangladesh Navy.[1] The ship is serving the Bangladesh Navy since 1988.
Career
BNS Durdondo was commissioned on 10 November 1988. In the cyclone of 1991, the ship was severely damaged. Later, with extensive repairs, the ship was brought back to active service. In 2010, the ship was upgraded with modern C-704 missiles replacing old SY-1 missiles as a mid-life upgrade.
Design
The ship carries four C-704 anti-ship missiles. Besides, it also carries two 25 mm (II x 2) guns. For surface search, it has a Type 352 Square Tie Radar. It carries the Chinese copy of the Soviet M503A engine which can run the ship at a top speed of 35 knots (65 km/h; 40 mph).[2][3]
