BN Prahlad
BN Prahlad, is the younger brother of Late Shri BN Vijayakumar (former MLA of Jayanagar, Bangalore). He is [1] from the Jayanagar constituency after the demise of Shri Vijayakumar.
Professional Life
Born in 1961 in Bangalore, after completing his schooling in Jana Seva Vidya Kendra and MES High School of Jayanagar, he got his Diploma in Sound and Television. Then went on to run his own business in electrical contracts for over a decade. In 1996, he joined Rashtrotthana Parishat – a Sangh Parivar publication institution as 'Public Relations Officer'. He went on to serve Rashtrotthana for 18 long years and worked on many of its major projects. In 2014, along with his brother-in-law (Shri RN Swamy), cofounded Varpas Media Technologies which provides consultancy and project execution services in Pro Audio/Video, FM and Community Radio sectors. They have successfully carried out a number of projects all over South India. He is presently one of the Directors of this company.
Social Life
Sri Prahlad has held responsibilities during Ramajanmabhoomi movement, Ekatmata yatra and Vishwa Hindu Sammelan. He was actively involved in Shri Anant Kumar’s (MP, Bangalore South) first election campaign in 1998. He was deeply involved in each of the five electoral campaigns of Shri Vijayakumar.
Personal Life
Born into a family with ideals of Sangh Parivar, Sr Prahlad is a swayamsevak. He is married to Smt Annapurna, who is a homemaker. His daughter Kum. Aditi, a child prodigy in Karnatic Classical Music, is a recipient of a number of awards which includes the President of India’s national child award for exceptional achievement in Music (2015). She is currently pursuing her studies in 2nd PUC and my son, Chi Aditya is a student of Class 10. He lives in a joint family along with his brothers in Jayanagar.
