BRAID is a 2018 American horror thriller film written and directed by Mitzi Peirone. It stars Madeline Brewer, Imogen Waterhouse, Sarah Hay and Scott Cohen.[1]

The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca FIlm Festival on April 22, 2018.[2] Braid was the first film to be financed through an ethereum crowdsale.[3]

In May 2017, it was announced that Braid would attempt to be the first film to be financed through an Ethereum crowd sale at the Ethereal Summit.[4][5]

Filming[edit]

Principal photography began on June 29, 2017.

Release[edit]

Braid premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 22, 2018.

On August 22nd, 2018 it was announced that the worldwide distribution rights for Braid had been acquired by Blue Fox Entertainment[6]

It was initially reported by Entertainment Weekly that Braid would be released theatrically on February 1st, 2019.[7][8]
