BRIVAS (an acronym for Biometric Relative Identity Verification Authentication System) is an American intellectual property company that develops and licenses patents related to biometric authentication, liveness detection, and proof-of-human technologies.[1][2]
History
The company was founded in 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by inventor Beau Parry.[3]
BRIVAS has received multiple U.S. patents for biometric encryption, active and passive liveness detection, and authentication methods that combine biometric signals with contextual data and device movement.[1]
In October 2025, BRIVAS acquired a portfolio of biometric gesture-recognition patents from Christchurch, New Zealand-based 3Fish Ltd.[4]
