BTW (Acronym)
"BTW" is an abbreviation of "by the way". It is interchangeable with "FYI" in informal conversations. In formal conversations, however, they are not interchangeable as they each technically have their own meanings. FYI is used to communicate a fact that you think the recipient should know, whereas BTW is more like adding a side note-it introduces a new, usually minor topic into the conversation.[1] FYI is the more formal abbreviation but can still be used in casual conversation.[2] It is synonymous with "BTB" which stands for "bye the bye" or "by the by"[citation needed]
