B K Kanaujia is an Indian academician, electronics engineer, and education administrator. He is currently the Director of Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, Punjab, India, since February 2022.[1][2][3] He also holds the additional responsibility of Director Indian Institute of Information Technology Una, Himachal Pradesh, India.[4] Additionally, he holds the position of Professor in the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.[5]

Life, education, and career[edit]

B K Kanaujia was born in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. He earned his M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras (Banaras Hindu University), Uttar Pradesh, India. He commenced his career as an Executive Engineer in the R&D division of M/s UPTRON India Ltd. in 1996. Subsequently, he held various positions at M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, India, from 1996 to 2008. Later, in 2008, he joined the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies & Research (formerly Ambedkar Institute of Technology), Delhi, and achieved the rank of Professor in 2011. During his tenure, he served as the Head of the ECE Department from 2008 to 2010 and again from 2011 to 2014.

After his service at the Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies & Research until 2016, he joined the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2016 as a professor. Since then, he has assumed several significant roles, including Chief Advisor of the Equal Opportunity Office at Jawaharlal Nehru University from 2017 to 2021, Associate Dean of the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences from 2019 to 2020, and Dean of the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences from 2020 to 2022.
