Babu Shiv Bahadur Singh was the ruler of Kohra estate of Oudh (Now in Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh) and belongs from Bandhalgoti clan of Rajput. He was a Freedom fighter. He participated in the class boycott of Uday Pratap College, Varanasi in the Quit India Movement of 1942 and later donated two of his villages to the Bhoodan movement.[1] His great grandfather Babu Bhoop Singh was prominent leader in Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British rule.[1][2] He was a religious man and an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva.
