Bac Thai
Bắc Thái is an former province of Vietnam It is now divided into the two provinces Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen.
Previously, in 1890, the protectorate of French colonialist divided Thai Nguyen province into two provinces of Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan.
In 1965, the Government of Vietnam Democratic Republic issued a decision to merge the two provinces with the name Bac Thai. The original administrative units were: Thai Nguyen City, Bac Kan town and 12 districts: Bach Thong, Cho Don, Cho Ra, Dai Tu, Dinh Hoa, Dong Hy, Na Ri, [[Ngan Son] ], Pho Yen, Phu Binh, Phu Luong, Vo Nhai.

Up to the year 1996, Bac Thai province has an area of 8336.64 km2, a population of 1,287,346 people, including: Thai City | Nguyen (provincial capital), Bac Kan town, Song Cong town and 10 districts: Bach Thong, Cho Don, Dai Tu, Dinh Hoa, Dong Hy, Na Ri, Pho Yen, Phu Binh, [ [Phu Luong]], Vo Nhai.
On November 6, 1996, the 10th session of the IXth National Assembly issued a resolution to divide Bac Thai province to re-establish the province Bac Kan and the province Thai Nguyen > Name Thai Nguyen </ref>. - Bac Kan province has Bac Kan town and 5 districts: Ba Be, Bach Thong, Cho Don], Na Ri, Ngan Son.
- Thai Nguyen province includes Thai Nguyen city, Song Cong town and 7 districts: Dai Tu, Dinh Hoa, Dong Hy, Pho Yen, Phu Binh, Phu Luong, Vo Nhai.
