Bahjat Yahya (Sorani Kurdish: بەهجەت یەحیا‎, Kurdish: Behcet Yehya‎, Arabic: بهجت یحی‎  ; born 1965) is a Kurdish singer[1], known for bringing forth a new musical style within the Kurdish genre.

Biography[edit]

Bahjat Yahya was born in 1965 in Sulaimani.

He first graduated in 1986 from the Electrical Institute of Sulaimani, then studied in Germany; He graduated in 2001 from Sabel Institute as a System Administrator

Career[edit]

Bahjat Yahya had interest in Singing and Music as a child. He recorded his first song in 1985, and started with his career.[2]
