Baicells[1] is a wireless telecommunications infrastructure company that provides 4G LTE Access Solutions for over sixty countries worldwide. Headquartered in Plano, Texas;[2] Baicells has established offices across five continents and developed over 300 patents since its inception in 2014.
Baicells' plug and play turnkey private wireless networks are designed to be as easy and affordable to install and operate as a Wi-Fi network. These networks can be deployed quickly without the need for trained engineers, helping to deliver quicker service turn-up and faster time to revenue.
With a goal to "Connect the Unconnected", Baicells' wireless solutions are deployed across over 840 networks and can serve rural outdoor, urban outdoor, commercial indoor, unlicensed and licensed LTE, and a wide variety of vertical opportunities. Customers include mobile carriers, broadband carriers, cable operators, virtual carriers, city governments, and enterprises.

Baicells was founded in 2014 and began deploying 4G LTE small cells[3] across Asia to work on its mission to connect the unconnected. A year later, Baicells launched in North America, where the business has continued to grow. By 2016, due to the growing popularity of the small cell market within telecoms, Baicells had deployed over 550 networks.
Baicells has always been heavily involved in OpenRAN innovation. In 2016, it partnered with Facebook[4] to work on its Telecom Infra Project. It was also selected as one of the chair members for the Multefire Summit during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, Baicells was one of the founding members of the O-RAN alliance holds the WG7 co-chair position to contribute to the Open RAN reference designs and documentation.
In 2018, Qualcomm Ventures invested $15 million[5] in a round of Series B funding for Baicells to continue the development of 5G technologies. With a focus on modularized architecture, virtualized technology, and fog computing.[6] Baicells used this investment to expand into new vertical industries. That year, Baicells was involved in providing the network elements for the first OpenRAN PoC with Vodafone and Radisys.
In 2021, Baicells was selected by Terranet and the city of Las Vegas[7] for a proof-of-concept project, illustrating that small cells could be easily installed, easily maintained, and supply schools, residents and businesses with wireless connectivity.
In 2021, Baicells began working with school districts and cities worldwide to ensure that students could stay connected and complete their studies from home. For example; Baicells installed the first CBRS network[8] in a US school district in Murray School District in Utah. Using Baicells hardware, the district built a fixed-wireless LTE network to provide high-speed internet access to all 6000 students.
Throughout 2022, Baicells has also been involved in the development of new decentralized networks – private networks that are built by the user community, which earn users cryptocurrency. Baicells base stations were certified to work with the FreedomFi Gateway. Pollen Mobile has also selected Baicells to supply is small cells for its decentralized network.
Products and services Baicells wireless solutions are designed for both public and private networks. The technology is being used by telcos and enterprises across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, education, oil and gas and agriculture.
