Shaheed Baidyanath Singh (21 March 1770-11 November 1814) was the freedom fighter and great leader of the Chuar rebellion. He led the Chuar rebellion against British rule and died fighting against the British. Baidyanath Singh was originally a resident of Dampara in Ghatshila area. His father Jagannath Singh and son Raghunath Singh have also died fighting against the British.[1]
