Baikalov

Baikalov is a private Russian tour operator which specializes in transportation on Lake Baikal.[1] The founder and director of the company is Anatoliy Kazakevich. The main office is located in Irkutsk, 70 kilometers from Lake Baikal.

It started in 2007 under the name Baikal Adventures Company, but renamed itself to Baikalov on 1 November 2011.[2]

The company is included in Siberian Baikal Association of Tourism (SBAT) and the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR).[citation needed]

Projects[edit]

In 2008 Baikalov built ice Russian baths and launched a big raft which had an area of 400 square meters.[3]

In 2009 Baikalov proposed a project called “Eco-tour”. It involved a floating hotel on the territory of Zabaykalsky National Park.[4] They also announced a concept of an alpine eco-hotel “Attraction” for free riders.[5]

In 2010 Baikalov participated in the development of the ecological resort “OrganicEscape” in the north of Baikal.[1]

In 2011 the company had conducted their first trekking tours in Buryatia, being the first tour operator to operate cruise tours around the nature reserves of Baikal.[6][7]

The company expanded the Baikal brand[8] and published "Baikalov Day", a magazine about different types of rest on Baikal.[9]
