Bakr Alduhaim ,(born June 25, 1992) is a Saudi Arabian cinematographer and producer.[1] During his studies in Los Angeles, California and in Paris, France, Bakr perfected his skills in pre-production, working on set and the final touch in post-production, which gave him a full understanding of all aspects of filmmaking in both film and digital.[2]
Early life
Bakr was born in Unaizah in the Al-Qassim Region, the son of Muna Alhossiani, a teacher, and Mohammed Alduhaim, a mentor. While growing up in Jeddah, Bakr spent most of his time in and out of school focusing on his primary interest: painting and photography.
Education
Shortly after graduating high school in 2010, Bakr moved to the United States to pursue his higher education. First he studied English as a second at San Jose State University. Later he enrolled in Long Beach City College where he studied media and journalism and worked as a photographer for the LBCC Viking newspaper.[3][4] While studying in Long Beach, he discovered his love of Cinematography. He proved to be a very talented Cinematographer, which led to him being accepted at École Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation (Eicar - The International Film and Television School of Paris[5]). Majoring in Cinematography and minoring in Directing.
Awards
During his studies at Long Beach, Bakr won several awards both regional and state.
2013: 1st place BRING-IN PHOTO in the JACC SoCal Contest.[6]
2014: 4th place FEATURE PHOTO in the JACC State Publication Contest.[7]
2014: Honorable Mention VIDEO JOURNALISM in the JACC SoCal Publication and On-the-Spot.[8]
