The Balikatin Basketball is an amateur basketball team in the Philippines. The residents of Balikatin village, a community in Montalban, Rizal, own the team in common.
The team primarily plays in inter-color leagues and the nearby barangay basketball cups in various divisions.
Background
The team has participated in various basketball cups held within the Montalban Municipality in the past.
The team participated in the Summit View Basketball Cup midget division in 2017 and advanced to the semifinals. Nevertheless, the games were canceled for an undisclosed reason, with some claiming that the organizers took all the money.
After defeating Charmizon in the Finals, the seniors team won the Interzone Basketball senior division at barangay Geronimo in 2019.
After defeating Knickers in the senior Interzone Basketball league in barangay Geronimo in 2022, the Balikatin Yengskivel team emerged victorious once more. The team was sponsored by Yengskivel Sportswear.
The Balikatin Junior team participated in the first EHRAI Cup Junior category in 2023. Jerose Enterprise and NRHG Enterprise provided sponsorship for them.
The junior squad adopted the moniker "B-Hood" in 2024, which stands for Balikatin Hood.
