Ballet Vero Beach (BVB) is an American professional ballet company based in Vero Beach, Florida. The company was founded in 2014 by former professional dancer, Adam Schnell.[1] Its mission is to promote dance in the South Florida community and beyond.
BVB presents three major programs [2] each season, as well as its annual production of The Nutcracker on the Indian River[3][4] , an original version of the classic tale set on the Treasure Coast.
Included in the company's repertoire [5] are the works of master choreographers George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Marius Petipa, Samuel Kurkjian, and Peter Anastos, as well rising choreographers Ariel Grossman, Matthew Lovegood and the company's artistic staff, Adam Schnell (Artistic Director) and Camilo A. Rodriguez (Ballet Master). BVB collaborates throughout the season with Dimensions Dance Theater of Miami[6].
BVB performs at home at Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center and tours [7] during the season at venues throughout South Florida.
