The Baltimore Kings Professional Soccer Club is an independent professional soccer team located in Baltimore, Maryland. The team is currently owned and run by Baltimore Pro Soccer, LLC.
Taking a different route than other professional soccer teams in America, The Kings aren't in a league and only play a few professional games per year.[1]
In addition to their professional team, The Kings have a U-23 men's team,[2] a U-23 women's team, a semi-professional futsal team, and multiple youth teams. The Kings also have an adult recreational team called Mobtown FC.[3]
EJ Jackson is the head coach of the U-23 men's and women's teams.[4] Jackson was named the U-23 women's coach in early 2017 by club owner Josh Danza. Mike Kin was named the semi-pro futsal team coach in February 2016.[5]
On January 16, 2017, the Kings signed David Warburton to a professional contract, making him the first professional signing in team history.[6] Warburton played college soccer at Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland. He played on the Kings' U-23 men's team in 2016 before his senior season.[7]
The Kings will play their first professional game in club history on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Concordia Prep in Towson, Maryland against fellow non-league independent professional team the Washington Fire.[8]
