Bamco (Korean: 밤코; born 1984) is a South Korean illustrator and picture book author. In 2021, Bamco was short-listed for Bologna Ragazzi Award's Special Mention with her work Rice Rice Rice. She was also chosen as one of the authors for dPictus 100 Outstanding Picturebooks with Prepping Anchovies.
Biography
Bamco was born in South Jeolla Province in 1984, majored in textile arts at Kyungwon University and studied applied arts at a graduate school. She debuted with her first picture book Love is 123. Then, she studied picture books at a picture book academy, called Picture Book Hyang. She lives with her husband and a cat.
