Band of Richer

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The band of Richer (named after the French anatomist Paul Richer.[1]) is a thickening of the iliotibial band which runs obliquely from the outside of the leg to the inside and above the knee in the front. It is most noticeable on the figure while standing in a relaxed pose, keeping the legs straight. The surface form it creates most often becomes difficult to distinguish when the quadriceps are being tensed.[2]
