Bandar Al-Mohanna

Bandar bin Abdulrahman Al-Mohanna, (November 21, 1970), is the CEO and Managing Director of NAS Air, the national carrier and leading low cost airline in Saudi Arabia.[1]

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from King Saud University in Riyadh, and a Master's in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA and an MBA from the American University in Washington, D.C. He has also completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard University .[2]

Career[edit]

Al-Mohanna has more than 20 years of leadership, financial and management experience in several areas and oversaw the $ 8 billion financing and acquisition strategy team of NAS Holding. In 2003, Bandar Al-Mohanna was Chief Financial Analyst at Makshaf Investments and Services to oversee portfolio performance, transportation, media, insurance and real estate of the group. For eleven years, Al-Mohanna held several positions in the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (Central Bank of Saudi Arabia), including the Banking Supervision Department. Since taking his first position as Chief Financial Officer at National Air Services (NAS) in 2006, Bandar Al-Mohanna has managed to lead his team to open new horizons and expand the company's operations. NAS's strong leadership towards continued growth, resulted in Al-Mohanna's promotion to Vice President in 2007, following which he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of NAS in 2015. Through his various positions at Nas Holding, Nasir has been in charge of Nas Holding, which includes Nas Air, the Saudi national carrier, NAS Jet, one of the largest and fastest growing private airlines in the Middle East, and Nas Aviation for Hajj and Umrah. Bander Al Muhanna played a key role in the growth and development of the various subsidiaries and brands listed under NAS Holding, especially NAS. His vision for the future has contributed to the development of profitable growth plans, effective development strategies and the overall operational success of NAS.

He is the Chairman of Jazal Arabia Commercial Investments (Closed Joint Stock) and Adlas Holding Company. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of several companies, including Nas Holding, Arab Training and Education Group, NAS XoJet, Scope of Actuarial Services and Middle East Financial Investment Company.

Awards[edit]

Bandar Al-Mohanna has been awarded several awards, including the Middle East's Leading Low Cost Airline Award from the World Travel Awards for four consecutive years in 2015,2016,2017 and 2018[3] .NAS has also been awarded Skytrax as the Middle East's best low-cost carrier for 2017[4]. Since its inception in 2007, Nas air operations have seen rapid growth and expansion of its airline network of more than 75 domestic and international destinations.
