Bangkok Mass Transit Authority fleet

As of 2017, the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) operated the largest fleet of transit buses in Thailand, with a total of 7,525 buses, 3,509 BMTA buses and 4,016 private joint buses.

The BMTA has been working for 11 years to procure 489 natural gas-powered buses to replace its ageing fleet and is expected to complete the task in 2018. It plans to buy 35 electric buses and 2,476 hybrid buses in the future."

Now maintenanced by BMTA Zone 5's Technician. Service in Route 111 as the only one Isuzu fleet in Zone 5. This bus is currently retired. Fleet no. 50064, 50483 retired because of fire.

Fleet no. 80040 (178) was converted to be prototype bus for the BMTA's bus restoration project by KMITL. It features LED signs, CCTV camera and GPS tracking. Fleet no. 80416 (36 A) was converted body by Chong Charoen Bus Body co., Ltd under the BMTA's bus restoration project by KMITL.
