Banguntapan is a district in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. It's also the most populated district in Bantul Regency, together with the official estimates as of mid 2022.[1] Its villages are 8, and one of the largest, with its administrative centre being Baturetno. This district is near Kotagede, home of the first capital of Mataram Sultanate.
