Bannockburn is a suburban neighborhood located in Bethesda, Maryland. It was originally founded in 1946 when the Group Housing Cooperative purchased the 124-acre Bannockburn golf course with the intention of establishing a cooperative housing community[1]. Today, Bannockburn is known for its close-knit community, excellent schools, proximity to natural attractions, and numerous long-time residents[2].
