Early Life[edit]
Baraa Habab was born on April 20, 1996, and grew up in the Mujtahid neighborhood in the Syrian capital, Damascus. complete; He studied at the "Abu Al-Atahia" School for Informatics in the Kafr Sousa neighborhood, and graduated from it with high marks to enter the Faculty of Informatics Engineering at Damascus University, but he did not complete his education there, and after two years of study he traveled to Sweden, where he resides until now.
He dealt with computers at an early age, and his desire to learn changed from medicine to the world of informatics.
Baraa Habab, a Syrian engineer and information security systems expert, discovered more than one vulnerability on the Facebook platform, and was able to access the page of the second founder of Facebook.
About Baraa Habbab He is considered the first Syrian young man to work as a Facebook support developer. The only “Syrian engineer” as he likes to be referred to in press and media interviews, that is, without mentioning his name, he was able to discover several loopholes in the Facebook site, to work later With this world famous company.

Baraa endured the hardship of discovery silently. He worked patiently and diligently until he left us a large imprint in the field of information security systems. The beginning was in 2016-2017, when Baraa discovered a software error on the Facebook website, and this error enabled him to enter many public and private pages on Facebook, Without knowing the username, email, or password as the owner of the page. Here, Baraa tried to contact Facebook to provide them with this loophole, but there was no response! All he had to do was take several steps to prove to them the correctness of his discovery, as he saw fit:
He entered the page of a Syrian pornographic actor and wrote on the page the phrase "We are not honored that you are Syrian." He entered a well-known Arab public page that has about 3 million followers, and wrote, "Ras al-Hikma is the fear of God." He entered a program shown on a Gulf channel and on the channel's documented accounts on Twitter and YouTube, and wrote, "in response to the hacking of a Syrian website by Saudi Arabia", in the form of a hashtag. Finally, Baraa officially accessed the account of the second founder of Facebook, Chris Hughes, and wrote a phrase in Arabic and English "There is no 100% protection, there is always a missing gap," There is no 100% protection, there is always a missing gap.
Through the steps that Baraa took, he had important documents through which he could convince and argue a global company like Facebook that he had a loophole in its website.
He contacted Baraa the Western and Arab media, and many newspapers and magazines. The loophole that he discovered is considered a rich media material, but Baraa Habab insisted that he be known as the Syrian engineer, without any other detail. He was not motivated by fame but by a love of learning and passion. Yes, he found what he wanted in the world programming.
Baraa did not stop at this, as he continued searching and discovering until he was able to discover the second vulnerability on Facebook in 2017-2018. This vulnerability enabled him to access 8.3 million accounts on the social networking site Facebook, and this vulnerability made him able to know the photos, videos and stories that users downloaded from Facebook to their mobile phones without publishing it!
Since it is a very sensitive vulnerability for a site of this fame, in order to protect the privacy of users, and if it is exploited, their privacy will be violated and they will fall into major personal problems, as well as they will leave the site, which makes it fall to the bottom.
Baraa Habab tried to contact the company to provide the vulnerability, and the next day he received the following email from Facebook: “Thank you Baraa for providing this loophole, we have verified this vulnerability, and we are proud of you, and welcome to the Facebook support developers.”
Until now, Baraa is still working as a Facebook support developer in the vulnerabilities and software bug detection department.
In addition, Baraa works for the global company "Bufab Lann" for the manufacture of metals, copper and aluminum.

Baraa has a well-to-do family, his mother is a housewife, and his father owned a laundry called “Al Bara’a Laundry”, in which Baraa worked in cooperation with his father from his childhood, on himself with work besides studying, he has a brother and sister since his early childhood, Baraa relied on me himself in learning, and in 2001 he dealt with computers for the first time and he was a young child when his father brought the computer home, and from there his passion for everything related to technology began, Baraa moved with his family to Sweden and he now resides in the county of "Jonkoping lan", specifically in "Varnamo"
