Personal life[edit]
Barbara L. Wegener was born in 1947. She worked as a Lutheran school teacher until her retirement in 2014. She is an active member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and attends St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, Florida. She is married to David Wegener and they live in Pompano Beach together. She is writing a sequel to Cara's Forgiveness and has written eight chapters so far.
