Barbara Shorney Heaslip

Barbara Shorney Heaslip (1907 - 1982) was an Adelaide women who improved the lives of many people living with mental illness in her community.[1]
Two books have been written about her, Adelaide Women, by Jocelyn Preece and Saints and Strait Jackets: An Intimate View of Life in an Australian Psychiatric Hospital by Barbara Shorney Heaslip.[2]
