Barry Laine (born June 25, 1951, died September 19, 1987) was a gay arts writer, editor, and producer. [1] He edited Stagebill and Dance Magazine, wrote for The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Village Voice, and The Advocate (LGBT magazine), and co-founded The Glines that produced Torch Song Trilogy by Harvey Fierstein that went to broadway in 1982 and won two Tony Awards for Best Play and Best Actor.
