Bartlandia
Bartlandia or Bartholomew's Empire was a fictional nation in the animated sitcom The Simpsons, created in 1980 in Europe, bordering Finland and the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, as a puppet state of the Soviet Union.
Etymology
Bartlandia derives from “land” from its border Finland and from the first name of the dictator "Bartholomew" Simpson.
History
Post World War II, Finland wanted the Kola Peninsula, which escalated to the Second Winter War, which the Soviet Union won.
