There is an existing issue on how technology can be integrated in teaching and learning. Technology Integration is Integrating technology means the use of learning technologies to introduce, reinforce, supplement and extend skills.
Phases of Technology Integration
Introducing → Reinforcing → Supplementing → Extending
Here are some external manifestations of technology integration into instruction:
1. There's are changes in the way how classes are traditionally managed or conducted.
2. The quality of instruction is improved to a higher level.
3. There is an arrangement by the teacher on the process of deciding how and when technology fits on the teaching- learning process.
4. The teacher lay down instructional strategies to address instructional problems.
5. The utilization of technology provides the opening of chances to respond these instructional problems.
Simple Integration- no substantial changes in the teaching-learning process from the previous method.
Middle level integration- There is a purposeful use of technology to support key learning areas.
Higher level of integration- Technology is the central instructional tool.
