Basil CJ is an Indian music director, lyricist and singer. He started his musical career composing music and writing lyrics for songs in Oraalpokkam (2014) the malayalam movie directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. He is best known for his compositions in several movies and documentaries like Ozhivudivasathe Kali(2015), Autobiography of a stray dog(2016), Athisayangalude venal(2017), Ayal Sasi(2017), Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani(2017), S Durga(2017) and so forth. Basil CJ has received special mention jury award in the International Film Festival of Rotterdam as well as The Best Film Scoring Award in 32nd Cinema Jove International Film Festival for the soundtrack in S Durga.
