Basketball tournaments at the 2009 Maccabiah Games were held from July 14, 2009, to July 22, 2009.
The competitions were held at Ra'anana. The defending champions were Israel for men and United States for women. The United States team was coached by Bruce Pearl.
Both finals were played at MetroWest Arena. In the men's Gold Medal Game, the United States defeated Israel 95–86 in overtime. Dan Grunfeld led the Americans with 25 points, and was voted Most Valuable Player, as he played alongside Bryan Cohen. Canada defeated Argentina to take the bronze.
