Bass (Mega Man)

SWN-001, Bass, known as Forte in Japan, (フォルテ, Forūte) is a Robot Master made by Dr. Wily to copy Mega Man's design, in addition to Treble, a copy of Rush's design. He was made based on an investigation focused on Mega Man with the purpose of exceeding his power sometime prior to or during the events of Mega Man 6, and first appeared in Mega Man 7. Bass is the striking anti-hero of the original Mega Man series, and his purpose is to be the most dominant robot in existence. Even though Mega Man and Bass are enemies, sometimes they team up to defeat mutual enemies. Even though he was created by Dr. Wily, Bass often combats his creator, usually for his own objective. Bass was later followed by Zero, a more advanced creation by Dr. Wily.
