  1. Received literary recognition and felicitation certificate along with a Medal of Honour from the Nepali Literature Development Council 1995 (The first literary organisation of Nepali writers in the UK) on its 25th Anniversary in 2020.
  2. Awarded by Patriotic Honourable Personality by Round the Globe Honourable Citizen Felicitation UK Event in 2017.
  3. A Student of Master degree in Nepali Literature from the Tribhuvan University, Nepal researched and submitted the thesis entitled ‘Biography, Personality and Literary Works of Poet Basu Sharma’ in 2016.

Literary Journey:

  1. Creative writing began as a passion since as young as a thirteen-year-old child and the first short story entitled ‘Nyaya ta tyasto po hunuparchha (Justice should be like that)’ was published in a local newspaper in 1972. The journey started while at Secondary School continued through to university student life, and afterwards.
  2. The first poem entitled ‘Bidroha ko muslo niskirahechha (The flame of revolt is continuing) was published in a local newspaper in 1980.
  3. Active participation in literary events at school as well as college levels. Poetry and stories were the main genre of writing.
  4. While in teaching profession, organised and coordinated literary events for the students.
  5. Continued involvement in literary activities organised by different literary organisations and forums in Nepal.
  6. Written and staged a drama entitled ‘Ujyalo hunu aghi (Before the dawn)’ in Kathmandu, Nepal.
  7. After moving to the UK in 2006, continued to be actively writing and participating in literary events organised by different such Nepalese literary organisations, forums and networks as Nepali Literature Development Council UK, International Nepalese Literary Society UK, Global Nepalese Literature Federation UK, Nepali Literature Foundation UK, Nepalese Talents Foundation UK, Nepalese Quatrain Foundation UK, Nepalese Writers Club UK, Eco Literature Network UK and so on.
  8. Conceptualised, founded and coordinated Nepalese Writers Club UK in 2016 and been conducted successfully 69 regular monthly episodes and 9 special episodes.
  9. Presented a paper on ‘Nepalese literature in the UK: past, present and future’ in an event of Nepalese Literature Festival organised by the Embassy of Nepal on the occasion of 200 years of Nepal Britain Diplomatic Relations ceremony in London in 2017.
