Basuria Association（BA） is a NGO and Nonprofit organization of Basurian communities in solidarity with the other nations in China for human rights and freedom. The group uses advocacy and nonviolent direct action with the goal of achieving Basurian independence. BA advocates self-determination for Basurian communities because of Bashu historical status as well as opposing the Chinese government's invasion and control.

History

Basuria Association (BA) was founded in 2022 by pro-independence Basurians and supporters to use the influence of oversea Basurian communities in order to press for human rights and independence in Bashu and qualified to be exempted from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code. Initially, BA's activities were focused on raising national awareness among Basurian who are still under governance of Chinese government and protest against such as the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and White Paper Protests.

Programs

BA's campaigns focus on three areas: political, culture, and human rights. BA's political campaigns are focusing on promoting for Basuria independence by pressuring both Chinese officials as well as Basurian oversea communities. Basuria Association is well known for preserve Bashu Culture by issuing magazine and podcasting. BA's human rights campaigns are focused on improving the situation for Basurians who are still under Chinese government's governance.

Actions

In February 2023, the Far East Youth Freedom League and the Basuria Association held a seminar on the theme of "The Death of Deng Xiaoping and the Prospects of East Asian Democratization" in California, USA.
